Most residents are aware that if they want to make changes to their property, they must seek approval from the Design Review Committee (DRC). This requirement is articulated in our bylaws. The reason for this procedure is to assure that our village continues to be consistent with the original architectural design. In this way we will not only have an attractive community, but one that continues strong property value growth.
Just about any change to the outside of a residence requires DRC approval. For example, if one wishes to change the original color scheme, add a deck, build a patio, add a fence, or replace trees, and so on, they must get DRC approval. The process is straight forward:

References and Footnotes: Under Article 15, of the associations Declarations of Covenants, Conditions, Easements and Restrictions; the Village at Tower Oaks Homeowners Association, Inc. (HOA) provides for the regulation of the association’s architectural control. Subsection 15.5 of the Declaration specifically states “ No structure shall be commenced. erected, placed, moved onto or permitted to remain on any Villages Lot, nor shall any existing structure upon any Villages Lot be altered in any way which materially changes its exterior appearance, nor any initial or subsequent use be commenced on any Villages Lot, unless plans and specifications or any other information as requested by the Villages Design Review Committee shall have been submitted to and approved in writing by the Villages Design Review Committee “. The submission of plans, specifications and other information required can be transmitted to CMI, after filing an application (Architectural Control Change ) form. The application will be reviewed by the committee and notification of approval or disapproval will be made in writing to you. Use Restrictions Under Article 11, of the HOA Declarations, Use of Villages property; Restrictions, the section applies to all restricted activates on the Villages property except with the prior written approval of the villages board of directors or the Villages Design Review Committee. The Article grants the HOA, under subsection 11.27, the enforcement and the right to remove or correct violations. Non-compliance of the violation (s) can be enforced by penalty assessment fines, entry upon the Lot and take such action as may be necessary to remove or otherwise terminate or abate such violation, and the costs thereof and reasonable attorney’s fees incurred thereby secured by lien of property lot.
